00:10The LL1000 is a versatile outdoor light featuring a super bright 1000 lumen LED output
00:15and many other unique features that make it a great option for your outdoor lighting needs.
00:20One of the obvious benefits of the LED technology is the lower energy cost.
00:24The LL1000 delivers on that using only 13 watts while not sacrificing on brightness with
00:29a warm white 1000 lumen output and an even light distribution.
00:33And the electricians, contractors and other professionals will appreciate the quick install
00:38and the commercial grade quality with its rugged diecast metal premium powder coat and
00:43tempered glass. The led uses 80% less energy than an
00:47incandescent bulb with similar light output and it's long life too 50,000 hours.
00:52Put that in perspective. If you use it for say,
00:54five hours every day, that's over 25 years of use.
00:57So not only will you continue to save on your energy bill for years to come,
01:01but you'll save money from not having to replace, burn out incandescent and CFL bulbs or
01:05hassle with getting it hard to reach fixtures. The LL1000 features our patented
01:09multidirectional swivel joint which makes it a cinch to rotate the fixture with traditional
01:14lamp holders, there's a lock nut to set the rotation and an adjustment gear for the angle.
01:19Consequently, it can take multiple adjustments to get this style of light fixture close to
01:23where you want it. The LL1000 is as easy to point as a showerhead.
01:27Just aim the fixture where you want and tighten the knot.
01:30I mentioned the LL1000 was versatile. The sleek efficient design fits in in almost
01:35any environment. Unlike many of the alternatives that quite
01:37frankly can be a bit of an eyesore with exposed bulbs or a large clunky appearance.
01:42It also comes in three color options, gray white or bronze.
01:46So it's a perfect choice in many places. Some common uses include architectural lighting
01:51for residences or commercial buildings, whether to beautify for added security or both for
01:57businesses to illuminate billboards, signage or other areas or even indoors for a minimalist
02:02industrial look that is popular. Now, of course,
02:05another popular use is for outdoor accent lighting to highlight landscaping features or
02:09pair them with a photo cell for automatic dusk to dawn security lighting that is convenient
02:14and energy wise.
02:17So come along and I'll walk you through a common installation.
02:19The upgrade of an existing fixture, of course, as with any electrical work,
02:24make sure the power is off at the breaker, remove the canopy cover and each lamp holder
02:30fixture. Now we're ready to install the new LL1000 coat
02:36the threads with an appropriate ceiling compound like silicone,
02:40then pass the wires through the opening and thread the fixture into the cover until it's
02:44tight, loosen the adjustment nut. So you can point the light fixture in the
02:51desired general location and then retighten enough to keep the fixture in place.
02:56Connect the wires using wire nuts. The white lead connects to the neutral,
03:00which is typically the other white.
03:02The black goes to the black or hot supply and the green LED goes to the ground which is
03:07often a bare copper wire, secure the canopy cover back onto the box if necessary,
03:12make any fine aiming adjustments to where the fixtures point and then fully tighten the
03:17swivel nut note. There is an indicator arrow on the back of the
03:21fixture that points to a gauge on the neck.
03:23If later you decide to reorient your lighting don't rotate past the indicated range.
03:28This is to avoid inadvertently over rotating the fixture which may loosen the wires in the
03:32box or fixture for new installations. Look for other fine Bell products to complete
03:37your project. So that's it for this upgrade.
03:40Just turn the power back on and your fixture is ready for years and years of reliable service.
