01:11So what is impo the impo connection is comprised of an aluminum sleeve wrapped in a

01:17specially designed energy wrap that provides the compressive force through an explosive

01:22reaction initiated by a non electrical detonator.

01:30compression connections require hydraulic tooling to apply a crimped force down on a

01:35connector. As you crimp, the force pushes material away

01:39from the compression area, thinning out the connector wall and pushing out conductor

01:51The implosive force is applied 360 degrees around the entire connection all in a fraction

01:57of a second producing a uniform compression with no elongation that could cause bird caging

02:03or deformations that cause a connector to bow and preserving electrical and mechanical

02:08integrity. This method generates quality contacts between

02:12the connector and the conductor. These electrical contacts ensure long time

02:21crimp placement, output pressure, calibration, extensive wire preparation or oxide inhibitor
