00:21Hi, I'm Ken Rousseau, sales engineer with hypotonic.
00:24Today. I'm gonna take you behind the scenes for a look
00:26at our new HVTD I digital controller for our HVT series AC ipods.
00:32Our HVT series has been updated to feature a modern controller.
00:36This solution brings elegance and ease of use to ac Hipot testing.
00:39We've designed this controller with user friendly software allowing customers to operate
00:43their AC ipod with a seven inch color touch screen and digital metering.
00:47Another upgrade is the ability to export test results via a USB drive.
00:52The user can save raw test data which is compatible with Microsoft Excel as well as a
00:56graphical representation of the test data with the HPTD I.
01:01You can now run your test automatically just set your ramp rate,
01:05voltage threshold and dwell time and press start.
01:09Manual control is still possible for precision applications.
01:13The HVTD I controller is equipped with universal mains capabilities which means that
01:17it can be run with input voltages between 100 and 10 and 240 volts at either 50 or 60 Hertz.
01:25It's important to always follow the proper safety procedures as outlined by our company,
01:29including paying attention to signs, hazard lights and wearing the proper safety equipment
01:35to protect the user. The HVTD I controller is equipped with an
01:39emergency stop button, a safety interlock that can be used with a hand or foot switch and
01:43audio warnings to alert others in the testing area to the risk of high voltage.
01:48The HVTD I comes complete with all the cables that you need included in the scope of supply
01:53is the safety earth ground.
01:55Also an interconnect cable is provided to connect the controller to the high voltage
01:59transformer along with A B and C cable to connect to the transformer return.
02:04Also included are another B and C cable for voltage measurement,
02:07current meter probe with B and C cable.
02:10A safety interlock plug, a transformer VM shorting plug,
02:14an input power cable optional for the 3060 KV units is a VM probe with a short B and C cable.
02:20The 120 KV unit comes with everything previously mentioned,
02:24but the VM pro was also included in the standard scope of supply.
02:27The HVTD. I can operate our 30 60 100 and 20 KV step up
02:32transformers at either 50 or 60 Hertz frequencies.
02:35This makes it fully compatible with existing H BT series.
02:38High voltage sections.
02:41Use the HVTD I to measure output voltage leakage current and insulation resistance,
02:46extremely accurate current measurement and guard circuit designed to eliminate stray
02:50leakage currents makes this unit compatible with multiple testing standards including a NC
02:5592.2.
02:57The user-friendly software allows for minimal set up time and ease of control at just 35
03:02pounds. The HPTD I controller eliminates extra weight
03:05and bulk when performing tests.
03:08Now that we're familiar with the layout of the HVTD, I let's hook it up to a high voltage
03:12section and run a test. First, I'm going to connect my ground cable.
03:16This should be the first cable connected and the last one removed.
03:21Next, I'm going to connect the high voltage and transformer return cables.
03:52If I have a 30 or 60 KV unit with a voltage probe, I'll connect the probe directly to the
03:57blue VM port on the controller
04:06and short the VM plug on the bonnet.
04:13If I have a 30 or 60 KV unit without a voltage probe, I will connect the VM port on the base
04:18of the high voltage section directly to the blue VM port on the controller.
04:23Again, the HVTD, I can control your 30 60 100 20 KV units.
04:29All connections are the same whether you have a new unit or you're updating the controller for
04:33an existing high voltage unit.
04:35From the main menu. We can select to operate the unit in auto or
04:38manual mode, adjust the settings and view reports in automatic mode.
04:43We can use our preprogrammed test setup.
04:48The report's menu lists the last 25 tests with the most recent first select a test to view it
04:54as a graph. Today, we showed you our HVTD I digital
04:58controller for our HVT SERIES AC I pods.
05:02You should now be able to connect and operate your unit with ease.
