00:04Kristen riggs here with the Hubble. How two today,
00:06I'd like to talk to you about Reo's line of Liquid type connectors and compare it to its
00:10competition. Rego offers connectors in both straight and 90
00:14degrees in trade sizes, 3/8 of an inch through four inches and 45 degrees in trade sizes.
00:203/8 of an inch through two inches, diecast Z connectors are also available in both straight
00:26and 90 degrees in trade sizes. 3/8 of an inch through four inches,
00:31liquid type connectors are uniquely designed to address and eliminate common shortcomings of
00:36other brands. Rao's exclusive design reduces installation
00:40time and provides reliable service. All components are made of premium materials
00:45that fit perfectly without strain or distortion and can be disassembled after years of service
00:51with all parts completely reusable.
00:54Rico's liquid type nut is constructed of malleable iron with a continuous thread.
01:00The competitions is form steel and does not have a continuous thread.
01:07Ferals have a longer design which ensures ground path continuity and they are easier to
01:13thread onto the conduit than the competitions breakup.
01:17Provides a ceiling washer with every connector while the competition requires the washer be
01:22purchased separately.
01:25Rico's patented split Gland ring has many advantages over the one piece type used on
01:30other liquid type fittings.
01:32It is flexible, easy to use and remove and is reusable.
01:38It is also forgiving to the installer because it is reversible,
01:41which eliminates the chance of installing it backwards.
01:44And because it is split, our Gland ring can be installed before or after the grounding fal.
01:53The competition's ring is not flexible and requires extra attention to install around the
02:00conduit. Because of the design, the Glander is deformed
02:04during application and must be cut off in order to remove the fitting rao
02:11split. Gland ring is the key to maximum compression
02:14forts that prevents pull outs. Our patented Glander has a slight gap when
02:18placed on the conduit. This split allows maximum compression of the
02:22Glander which will abide to the high and low side of tolerance used by the manufacturers of
02:27liquid type conduit.
02:28When the connector is tightened, the gap in the Glander is completely closed and the concave
02:32inner surfaces cause the PV C jacket material to cold flow and ensure maximum retention of
02:38the fitting. The convex outer surface is forced into the
02:42flared portion of the grounding feral by tightening the compression nut,
02:45sealing the conduit and the inner portions from the outside environment.
02:49Both conduit and jacket are locked in the connector.
02:52Whereas many competitors rely on the ferrel for retention.
02:55And in many cases, the jacket pulls free of the connector and ruins.
02:58The liquid seal.
03:01Rao's liquid type connectors are the reliable solution for keeping water,
03:05oil and dust out of electrical systems. Even in the toughest of applications.
